Product Concept Design
InspiroMEDIA® offers
two product design services. The first of these is conceptual
design. Product concept designs are typically developed
using Autodesk
3DS Max®.
The purpose of conceptual design services
is to develop and establish preferable manufacturing methods
for delivering a desired functionality and or certain
final appearances of a product. When functionality is
a predominant component of a product, we also utilize
an industry standard in the CAD/CAM manufacturing software
platforms, SolidWorks®.
We do more than simply create attractive
presentation renderings. The second of our product design
services is virtual prototyping. Virtual prototypes
are developed using SolidWorks®.
Once either a finalized conceptual design is reached or
an acceptable virtual prototype developed, engineering
and other key manufacturing related services should they
be employed by InspiroMEDIA are fulfilled through a cooperative
relationship with engineering firms, rapid prototyping
providers, tooling and contract manufacturers.
Both product design services, conceptual
design and virtual prototyping, are invaluably
beneficial for clients by cost effectively assessing
and developing multiple design concepts and
validating basic functionality of an invention instead
of going through the more costly process of evolving
design concepts solely at the prototype or pre-production
stage. Refining a product's design by producing physical
prototypes with each revision is cost prohibitive. Changes
in design are inevitable at nearly every stage so clients
can minimize development costs when functionality or
manufacturing issues are discovered earlier at the product
design stage rather than later.

Working with InspiroMEDIA®
Clients typically bring us their design ideas in the form of sketches,
written descriptions, photographs of example idea components
or even crude product mockups for appearance. A mockup is not
required or requested and sketches do not need to be professionally
prepared. Our role is to assist clients in transforming their
ideas into viable design concepts that can eventually become
a manufactured product.
What's next?
If patent protection is something a client wants
to pursue, we assist clients in the preparation
of formal patent drawings for filing with US PTO or
foreign filing offices. We can also assist in locating
a patent attorney.
